<w:title>Paid 1:25,000 Maps - Update Information</w:title>

Important: this data has not been updated for the 2025 maps.

Unlike the other map types, in-app-purchases for the paid 1:25,000
Ordnance Survey maps do not include future updates the the maps.
If you've purchased one of these maps you'll be able to continue to
download the same version that you originally purchased going forward.

In many cases the maps will have changed very little - or possibly not
at all - from one version to the next, so you will not be missing out by
keeping the old version. In some places, however, there may be changes
that are worth getting and the app will let you pay again if you really
want to.

So that you can decide whether it is worth paying again for the new
version of a particular map, this page provides images that show what has
changed for each purchase.

How to interpret these images

Each image corresponds to one of the purchases in the "OS Paid 1:25,000
Individual purchases" section of the Map Store.

On these images, the 50% grey tone shows areas where the map has not
changed. Where features have been added, they are shown in their true colour;
when they have been removed, they are shown in reverse. White areas are
outside the coverage of the map (e.g. in coastal areas).

So an entirely grey map, or grey-and-white in coastal areas, indicates
that nothing has changed, while a very busy map indicates a lot of changes.
For examples of the two extremes, see sheets 17K (Gifford - no changes) and
11L (Aberdeen, which has gained a bypass).

These images correspond to the differences between the 2019 and 2021
versions of the maps.
